Tanzanite 5.65 carats oval

Very fine natural tanzanite of 5.65 carats, oval cut. Its blue-violet colour was revealed by traditional heat treatment, a common practice for this gem. Tanzanite, a thousand times rarer than diamond, is found only at the foot of Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. At over 12 mm, this is a stone of fine presence.
