Buying a stone remotely
Not in Paris? The majority of our clients buy their stones remotely. Here is how it works, step by step.
1. The first exchange
Contact us by WhatsApp, by email or via the appointment booking. We discuss your project — a collector's stone, a future ring, a gift — your budget and your colour preferences. A video call can be arranged to talk it through in person.
2. Discovering the stones
For each stone that interests you, we send you on request additional macro photos and daylight videos, taken without filters or colour retouching. This is the condition for an informed choice: a stone reveals itself in motion and under several kinds of light.
3. Certification
Our important stones come with an independent laboratory certificate, presented before purchase and delivered with the stone. For stones of lesser value, a Maxime Voillot Gems certificate of authenticity can be issued free of charge on request, and an independent laboratory report (LFG, GRS, Bellerophon) can be ordered on quotation for any stone — see our Certification page. As a specialised dealer, we systematically disclose any treatment — this is the heart of our commitment to transparency.
4. Payment
Payment is made securely online, or by bank transfer for exceptional pieces. For “price on request” stones, a precise quotation is provided after the first exchange.
5. Delivery
Your stone is shipped by secure courier, fully insured until it is delivered into your hands. Shipping costs are borne by the buyer and communicated to you at the time of ordering, before any payment. Subject to availability, hand delivery can be arranged in Paris.
6. What next?
If your stone is destined to be set, we can guide you through the creation of a bespoke jewel with our partner bench jeweller — see our bespoke settings page. You also benefit from the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (see our return conditions).
