Rubellite from Afghanistan 8.50 Carats Untreated Cushion

Natural rubellite from Afghanistan of 8.50 carats, cut as a cushion (brilliant crown, step-cut pavilion). Rubellite is the pink to red variety of tourmaline; the Afghan deposits yield crystals of remarkable saturation, here described as red-purple / purple-red by the laboratory.

The stone has undergone no treatment: neither heating nor fracture filling. A point worth underlining for this variety, where heating and oiling are common and rarely disclosed. It comes with its GFCO Gem Lab certificate (Switzerland) with origin determination Afghanistan.
