Intense Pink Sapphire from Sri Lanka 0.94 Carat Unheated Oval

Natural pink sapphire from Sri Lanka of 0.94 carat, oval cut, in an intense pink. Sri Lanka, the former Ceylon, is one of the historic sources of pink sapphire.

For a pink sapphire, the intensity of the colour is one of the first criteria of value. The colour of this stone is entirely natural: it has undergone no heat treatment, which is becoming rare on the sapphire market, where the vast majority of stones are heated to improve their colour or transparency.
