Natural grey-blue spinel of 8.29 carats, cushion cut (brilliant crown, step-cut pavilion). Above 8 carats, a blue spinel of this quality becomes rare: the careful cutting brings out a soft, luminous grey-blue hue.

Its colour is entirely natural: the Swiss laboratory GRS (Gemresearch Swisslab) finds no indication of heat treatment.
