Natural purple spinel from Myanmar (Mogok Valley) weighing 8.96 carats, fashioned as an oval (brilliant crown, step pavilion). The Mogok valley has produced gems since antiquity and remains, along with the other regions of Myanmar, one of the world's most renowned sources for the exceptional quality of its spinels.

Its purple colour, of low saturation and medium tone, is entirely natural: the stone has undergone no thermal treatment, as confirmed by its Lotus Gemology (Bangkok) certificate, with a Myanmar origin determination.
